Biography
David’s insurance defence practice includes professional liability (civil and regulatory matters), errors & omissions, property loss, construction disputes, directors & officers liability, occupiers liability and coverage matters.
David recognizes the importance of commercial awareness in resolving disputes in an efficient manner.
David has conducted mediations and settlement negotiations involving complex commercial disputes. David has appeared in front of the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, and the Court of Appeal of Alberta.
David also has an active appellate practice and regularly appears before the Courts of Appeal in several provinces. Some of his recent appellate decisions include:
